That's when Mickey didn't really kill the very impressive dragon (he just held his sword up and the dancing waters killed the dragon) and then the characters came by in the very underwhelming Steamboat Willie steamboat.

So is the show any different than it was in 2000?

Let us know when you can,

DL's version just got LED lighting on the princess barges, so maybe MGM will get that, and i've heard some rumor of steamboat willy getting redone.

And to answer your question.. I saw MGM's Fantasmic several weeks ago and sadly, it remains exactly the same way it was on opening day... like 7-8 years ago? I noticed no changes whatsoever.

Remember... Mickey *NEVER* kills anything or anyone... He just uses his taser sword to scare them away in a puffy cloud of smoke.

I also thought that the Villain transition in the WDW show was interesting: the Villains "morph" into each other, whereas the DL version uses the "Closeup of Villain's eyes in darkness" shot to go to the next Villain.

I was also surprised that, when watching the YouTube clips, Cruella's psycho face wasn't used during the Death Montage. I was also expecting to see Hades being attacked by the Lost Souls as well.

I did get a kick out of seeing the oldschool "topless" Mickey during the Cave of Wonders sequence.

Thanks for posting the Disney rules...I used to say that Fantasmic was the show where Mickey blatantly murders people in front of hundreds of guests. :)
