So, a poll seems in order. For fairness, let's only allow voting for folks who've been there fairly recently (say, since Jan 2006).

Kindly make the vote a simple yes or no, along with the last date of your visit, and then post any comments in a seperate post so we can easily run a tally.

And PLEASE, vote yes or no only, not "almost" or "not quite" or "no, with qualifiers" or any of that. If you can't decide between a simple yes or no, please just abstain from voting (but feel free to comment of course).

I'll only tally up those posts which contain a simple yes or no along with date of visit.

    This should be fun. :p

I'm heading back in two weeks so I'll get an updated opinion on the matter.

Even when I've had major issues, very rarely would I say most of the park is filthy. Parts? Sure. Sometimes huge parts.

I've had instances in the past 18 months where the Hub and Main Street looked like Dolphin Stadium's parking lot after a game with what the tailgaters left behind. I've literally had to jump over cheesburger baskets just left in the middle of Main Street USA.

As to queues, Buzz Lightyear and PoC are routinely filthy and unkempt. Peter Pan usually can be counted on to have piles of trash where the moving walkway ends. Splash can be from time to time. Mansion sure was on its last day open in early June.

Even bathrooms, while the Main Street ones have been filthy, the T-land ones (under the old Skyway station) are almost universally spotless.

So you're really asking an impossible question.

I will say that overall, the MK is far dirtier than it was a decade ago. And if it had been like this 25 years ago, everyone would have been fired in custodial and management. Really.

But some days ... some lands ... some places ... it just differs.

One person may visit in the morning when the chronic understaffing isn't as apparent and the park looks terrific, but when I show up at 7 p.m. the place looks like WWIII.

So I guess I didn't help at all ... sorry!

The florida park is an insult to Disney and seems more like "The Walmart kingdom"

But let me state, it is filthy by Disney standards, not real world. Personally I think it should be measured by Disney standards.

I didn't notice it at first. But having travelled to DLP in June 2007 (a park that can be filthy too), it really highlighted it. DLP was sparkly in comparison. That's how I know it's gotten really bad.

Odly enough Epcot, Dak and the Studios were clean, as were the resorts. It was the MK that was filthy, especially the floor (when was the last spray down? It used to be daily), the queues at Buzz and in Fantasyland, the tables in the counter service restaurants, and the restrooms.

Even my MIL who has questionable hygene at times, and was in awe of the enormity of WDW (1st timer) noticed it.

Wow, worse than Disneyland Paris? It *must* be bad then!

The reason why, in the old days, it was found sooner is because they used to have additional staff that was there just to pick up the billions of cigarettes that were dropped on the ground and immediately swept up. Designated areas have eliminated most of the need for that.

So final answer - No, it's not.

As for bird 'poo', there's not a whole lot that can be done about that. You could clean it every day and still have bird poo everywhere. I don't think it was that noticable, at least during our visit anyway.
