I actually found them more annoying than the crowds mess. The restrooms that are in the more central locations were disgusting but the ones that were in out of the way places were OK.

except that maybe some guests should put their trash in a trash can. And cast members can't follow litter bugs around all day.

I have already spoken my mind on this and since I was one of two posters (the other being davewasbaloo) that prompted Mr X to post this poll, I shall abstain to vote yes or no, simply because you know how I feel about the situation, and also because the polls will reflect the sentiments of the average touristy visitor who does not know any better than what they see at the MK every coiple of years or so on their infrequent visits. Reasons again why I am not voting on this poll.

But Inspector57... you and everyone know how I feel and I know you all feel I am "biased", so why even bother voting? Get my drift?

No truer words can be said about WDW. It's all about the "quantity", as opposed to TDR, DLR or even miniscule HKDL...where it's about the "quality".

I don't think you're any more "biased" than others. Every visitor brings a personal bias with him when he tours the MK. For some, that perspective is heavily influenced by a pro-Disney predisposition that allows them to overlook things. For others, it's influenced by the fact that the person has a long history of visiting, so can compare changes over time. Or has visited other Parks, so can make Park-to-Park comparisons.

In fact, I think your WDW Quality Control reports are just about the most objective narratives around. You're specific. You comment on the good and the bad.

In other posts, though, you make general sweeping statements about the condition of MK. Other LP posters are also given to that. What I find interesting about this thread is that when Mr. X forces the issue, those generalizations become qualified. As I think they should be.

The other point I'd make -- and I know you've heard this and mulled it over a thousand times -- is that, sadly, Joe Tourist's rose-colored perspective is as legitimate to him as yours is to you.

Filthy is nowhere near the right word even when holding MK to Disney standards. Inconsistent, day to day, area to area sure.
Even in the glory days you would spot issues - there are just more of them today, but in fairness there are also areas/places in the park very well kept. One overflowing trash can does not make the entire park 'filthy', but it is one more than most of us would like - yes.

Some of what I consider filth is not even trash. Just today I walked through Tomorrowland and did not see a single article of rubbish in sight, but the pavement is chipping, cracking, and even missing large chunks. The metal benches were rusty, just about any surface that used to be white was covered in scrapes and grime, and even the ODV carts were leaking water all over the place. It just adds up to a very uncomfortable experience.

That kind of stuff is not acceptable at Epcot, Disneyland, or even Universal Studios. It should not be acceptable at the Magic Kingdom either.

I don't think it is filthy, but in need of more attention.

I agree. And please note that Mr. X chose that word precisely, simply because he knew he would get the "NO" votes to roll in. I think a much better Poll would have been if he had asked if the MK was "Clean". No?

Remember, this is the poster who calls HKDL "crap" just because the park is unaceptably small, and WITHOUT taking in concideration the attention to theming and cleanliness of that particular park, which in fact.. in both those aspects of HKDL, they perform better than the MK's.
