Good God, man... WALT was still alive when that picture was taken. Do you think WALT would have allowed Bad Show???

The picture is of the Matterhorn Bobsleds loading area prior to the introduction of a two-car sled. If I am correct, the look of the picture says 1960's.

What the OP is referring to is the bobsled off the track in the background.

From the presence of the full-scale Moonliner, and the round skyway cars, it must have been taken some time between 1959 (Matterhorn opening) and 1966.

The Moonliner and the Matterhorn never existed at the same time.

The Moonliner was taken out for the '59 expansion that involved the Monorail/Matterhorn/Subs to come to be.

You are confusing the Viewliner with the Moonliner. The Matterhorn opened on June 14, 1959 and the Moonliner was removed in September 1966.

Looks like the sled on the spur is being worked on. Since there is no sled storage on the Matterhorn, all maintinence is performed on track. The maintinence pit is located between main and spur tracks at the back of spur. That is where this sled is blocked off.
