I do think the new setup of the area is a slight improvment. The character (even if it is somewhat tacky) of the Rizzo and Diner structures has been painted brown, with a strange blue accent. The millionaire building is still a glaring blank spot back there in the new land. The entrance signs are okay, and the Mickey Fountain looks great. The new directional work in the cement manipulates the viewers perception of the millionaire building pretty well, but it is not enough. I could not get on Monsters Inc, first it was broken down right at opening (has anyone else noticed the similarity between their uniforms and those of the Disney mechanic/engineering/operations guys?) and then we I returned it had a 75 minute wait which extended around the Mickey fountain, through the millionaire fastpass queue, and out to the water tower next to H&D. That was insane for what is supposed to be a great C-Ticket. I am excited to see it on my next trip, a nice AC'ed, themed, immersive, family ride is exactly what DCA has been needing since the park opened. Time will tell, but it is now in its second week of operation, and it is still packing in the crowds on a moderately crowded Sunday. Pooh was dead by the end of its first month of operations and Buzz is still packing in the crowds today. Monsters is off to a solid start.
