Standard union rules state that on a Saturday (or 6th day) double-rate in effect is used to calculate the rates after 12-hours have elapsed from the call time. For Sundays (or 7th days) it is the same. The rate for Saturdays (6th) is time and a half, so in essence, double-rate in effect is triple time. For Sundays (7th) double-rate in effect is quad time, since you are doubling doulbe-time.

Meal penalty take effect after six hours have elapsed from the crew's call-time without a meal-time period being called. The minimium amount of time for a meal-break is one-half-hour. Meal penatly is billed per half-hour per crew member.

Call times can be cancelled as long as it is 8-hours before the call time. Cancelling after this 8-hour window will cause full charges to be billed.

Short calls can be used on the weekend. However, the rates are per 6th and 7th days as applicable.

However, there was concern that Columbia would be confused with our nation's capital, the District of Columbia. So the name of Washington was chosen. Yes, that's right, the state of Washington was named to AVOID confusion with the name of our nation's capital.
