Either way, I think alot of people will enjoy this change, I just really enjoyed the original. ~Josh

The simple fact that POTC is one of the first attractions, and has been reliable and entertaining for such a long time, and they do a few minor changes, thats what gets to me sometimes. Now dont get me wrong I loved the movie. And then again, I dont even know what the new version is going to be like, I may end up loving it as much as the movie. I just think a better idea, would to, I dont know, make like a samll stage show, with characters from the movie. Just keep the original. ~Josh

I really don't think Walt would agree with altering HIS attractions, just so the general public (who are oblivious to the artistic genius of it all) can relate the ride to a movie, and in turn, make a bigger profit. Agree or disagree, just my opinion. *Kristen*

It think he would have had several new generations of animatronics by now. He was willing to take the chances others are not because they are threatened by his still looming shadow.

Not so. I think it's a great idea to add Jack Sparrow and the rest of the 'crew.' A wonderful way to pump some new life into an already terrific attraction. If the movie was dumb, I'd probably have an issue. But the first 'Pirates' movie was so good, with Johnny Depp getting an Oscar nomination, that it makes adding that element to the existing attraction seem really relevant and cool.

One thing I REALLY liked about the movie is the way it picked up on some details of the ride, and incorporated them into the movie quite cleverly. Some of the movie's ride references are quite subtle. Now, the ride is going to take on some of the characteristics of the movie, hopefully also in a clever way. So that the ride may in the future be more story-coherent than it was before. Not changed substantially. But improved overall. Maybe?
