Anyone have any idea when the Snow White show will open in Fantasyland. I'll be at the Disneyland Resort in August and would love to see that too...

Now that you have interviewed Ms. Hamburger face-to-face, what are your impressions of her? [I know, you don't do impressions]

Seriously though, in print, some of her quotes come across to me as very snooty and almost pompous --

Based on hearing your interview, I found her very down-to-earth and charming and enthusiastic.

    What can you tell us?

Thnaks for the great coverage of this event!

I enjoyed the Aladdin show (I saw it in December) and more importantly my kids loved it. It seems to be a crowd pleaser. I have high hopes for the Snow White show, and for the quality of Disney theme park entertainment in general. The event looked like a lot of fun, and it appeared that no expense was spared.

Thanks again for sharing it with us,

She's been badly maligned, I believe.

    Well....

I for one, found her comments, when just written in the newspaper or a press realease, to come across as very snooty. I read into the comments a certain underlying loathing for 'people who go to theme park' and an assumption that most have never been to the theater.

What she was saying about theme park audiences make a whole lot more sense when you realize that 1% of the population even cares about theater.

Your interview was an 'ah-ha!' moment for me, as I feel I have a better understanding of where Hamburger is coming from. Never knew she was married, never knew she had kids, never knew exactly what the Avant-Garde theatre project was, never knew she was a Disney fan and had been approached by WDI many years ago. This is all great stuff.

And very different than the LA Times story that ran a few Sundays ago -- which to me, came across very scholastic.

I really liked what I heard in your interview, Michelle, good work.

Well, I think this is because the newspapers take one small part of what she says when they quote it, unfortunately the aprts they take make he seem this way, even though she really isn't. Everyone I know that has met her has all said that she is really nice and loves to talk with the people that go to the show and in the park in general.
