BTMRR has a very good story. I don't know if my son even knows who the Lone Ranger is. If they took out the theme for Tom Sawyer Island and Swiss Family treehouse because kids these days don't know who they are, why would they add the Lone Ranger? Or is there a movie staring Johnny Depp as the Lone Ranger in production right now?

I think it is exciting to talk about new and upcoming projects at WDW, but I think it would be nice if we were talking about something substantial.

Yes I know. What I mean is it was the reasoning behind changing these at DL.

His 'guess' makes as much sense as adding "Hitchiker Guide to the Galaxy" references to Space Mountain. It's just not gonna happen.

Well considering that Disney was seriously considering turning space mountain into a stitch coaster (theres concept art online to prove it) if Hitchhiker ended up being a success they probably would have.

If Lone Ranger makes good money at the box office you can bet there will be people at disney immediatly coming up with ways to shoehorn lone ranger into everything.

Space Mountain, like so many other attractions at Disney parks do not need to be 'tied-in' to movie or character franchise. It's just absurd that they would even contemplate such a ridiculous act!!! Still, given how Disney, as a corporation, has acted of late, I wouldn't put it past them!

Skellington, do you have links to this proposed artwork??? I'd love to see how they were going to try and botch their most famous thrill ride with Stitch!!!

And I don't know about you guys, but I think having a realistic AA of The Lone Ranger popping up out of a barrel and doing the looking around eye thing would be the bomb.

There could be a big shootout scene where the head of the bad cowboys and his guys are in a shootout with the sherrif's posse. Throughout the whole ride they'd be shouting, "Where's the Lone Ranger!" or Bring me the Lone Ranger!" And then at the end, they could create a scene where he fould the gold and is sitting in the center of it.

    That would be REALLY cool...
