The cost of a taxi TO the resort is basically the same, as they have a $36 flat rate. A taxi back to the airport is about $10 more. You can usually get from Long Beach faster during rush hour than if you came from John Wayne. And I think you will find Jet Blue a nicer flight than taking Southwest.

If you get a better rate on Jet Blue, it becomes a no-brainer.

I've only flown into LAX, so next time we will have to try Long Beach. Although LAX is closer to the American Girl store which we will be going to. I love this board. I learn something new all of the time!

It's so flippin' cheap compared to John Wayne, and since I'm scared of CA freeways, I can drive myself to and from DL without hitting a single freeway. Traffic has never, I repeat NEVER been an issue.

Jet Blue not only has assigned seating-the seats are more comfy, bigger, each has it's own TV with tons of channels, FREE headphones (they have some you can upgrade to for a small amount), and FRIENDLY employess! Long Beach airport is soooo much better, IMHO, than either John Wayne or LAX. I love the fact that it is smaller, and easier to move around in and you can beat how fast you can get your luggage!
