Figment was awesome and all the little scenes were so cute. NOw? OMG! What a MESS! I mean, my kids love it, but it's only because they never got to see it in its original form. Why OH why was this ride butchered like this?! Is there ANY way, Any way at all that it may be returned to it's original state and spare us looking at that hideous Nigel Chennings for much longer?! Sorry for ranting and yes, beating a dead horse but oh, man... the humanity!

Ride-thru video is available for the original. It's the next-best thing to being there.

It is not a great attraction, but it is certainly no worse than some others at Epcot and the other parks. I think Journey attracts the flack it does because people look at the original attraction through the rose-colored glasses of their memory and see the original attraction as being better than it really was. The first one was rather incomprehensible to me (I know... no imagination) and I frequently skipped the attraction when I was at Epcot. Apparently many others did too, because as was mentioned it was almost always a walk-on towards the end. I kind of like Nigel Channing in the ride though. I always appreciate seeing a guy who makes me look drop-dead handsome. ;-) In all seriousness, I do think the change in the final scene was a big improvement and has made the attraction more enjoyable. Would anyone agree with that, or am I alone in my corner on that one too??

How much lasting power does his mug have in a ride like this? Why not someone attractive or less annoying or someone who is at least funny! I don't completely HATE the new version, I just think that they shouldn't have messed with it. It's still a walk on, it still has a weak theme and there are very cheap/ill uses of space. I'm not remembering with rose colored glasses either, I seriously thought it was a really cute ride. How fun was it when figment was "created" in that first scene? It was so much better in my eyes, and I'm glad some actually enjoy it better now...but one other thing...why oh why don't they make it more interesting in the 'smell' section of the tour, like perhaps once in awhile change the scent?! HELLO? How hard can that really be? I'm sick of the skunk smell and quite frankly it's lost it's shock value at this point, it would be way more interesting if they changed it up a bit...so many things wrong with this poor shell of an awesome ride it used to be...ok, maybe I do kind of hate it, but I still find it tolerable enough to ride...OMG I'm ranting...stop me!

The finale was neat, but would have been neater if the figures had mouth/eye movement. It seems like they could change the ride again (though they probably won't) since this is technically the second re-do (it originally opened without Figment, except for a small CGI cameo). Yes, it was a walk-on for us, too. How times change----I remember waiting in line for Captain EO and the line for Imagination seemed to go on forever.

The new version is a little more coherent, but loses something as just a plain old ride-through attraction without the large set pieces and unique movement of the vehicles through the attraction.
