1 point Tinkerbell may well not be on skates in DLP because as well as Main Street being cobbled it also has tram tracks laid down the middle that go around the hub for the horse drawn trams so it would be dangerous if not impossible to skate in the dark.

Looking forward to seeing the parade again in the near future - just so much to take init ned to be seen a number of times.

Almost any show or event from TDR *is* a winner, dlport sir, except for the Fantasy In the Sky fireworks which I find to be so MK...blah!

However, if they really cannot afford to run the entire parade, then they should raise the admission price. Most people coming to DLP have already spent a lot on gas, freeway toll, accomodation etc. A few bucks more won´t make any difference! (Have you noticed that there´s not even shower gel in the economy hotels at DLP, just to save a few pennies?) (have you ever seen a motel 6 without shower gel?)

High admission prices? DLRP is actually the cheapest of the four Disney resorts at present for a one day pass. It is even comparable to all of the big non-Disney theme parks like Alton Towers in England and Universal in Spain. The admission prices are almost identical.

The floats were in a terrible state when they arrived. I saw them when they were first unloaded from the containers and some were simply unuseable. It would have been a waste of money to rebuild them from stratch.

The overriding point is that the vast majority of guests are experiencing a new parade for the first time, one that is similar in length to MSEP, but with show modes and a storyline. Few people will even be able to make a comparison and surely it is better than simply scrapping it?

I agree with most of your points, and I´m happy they brought Fantillusion to DLP. I´m just one of those guys who´d rather spend more money for a Disney park than accept any cutbacks. Take my example with the shower gel or shampoo - we´re talking pennies here, really, and I´d be happy to pay the additional price if they only gave me my shampoo back :) Regards, wolfjones

IMHO, the rooms at the Santa Fe could be at any hotel anywhere, but the Cheyenne just seemed to go that extra mile in immersing me in Disney Magic.

I suppose I am the polar opposite to Wolfjones because I'm happy to have less thrills at a Value Hotel (no pool, toiletries etc.) if it means I can save a few pence to spend elsewhere. Why would I pay even an extra £5 for the privelige of shower gel when I can take my own from home anyway (and probably would)?!!!

We thought the Cheyenne would be fun for our two young children, with the playground, pony rides and heavily themed rooms.

wolfjones, I've walked around the Santa Fe grounds with my daughter and we enjoyed discovering all the artifacts. I know I'm in the minority but I also liked the minimalist look of the place. Less is more.

That is the cool thing, everyone has a favourite and it makes no odds whether it is the cheapest or the most expensive. Disney hotels are eclectic enough for everyone to be different.

I must admit I love the ditched flying saucer at the Santa Fe!!
