Originally Posted By TDLFAN Marc says "guests go about their business as if they were at Denny's". Hardly! Unlike that particular establishment, the Queen of Hearts Banquet Hall provides total immersion in the curious world of Alice in Wonderland, as well as TDL's legendary CM courtesy and service. IMO, this is the most whimsical and elaborate restaurant ever built at any Disney park. I do not find this restaurant to be weird in the least. Au contraire, it's colorful, rich in details and simple eye-popping. A true wonderland of a place, with a great menu to go with it. A for the Tea Party attraction, i agree with Marc, they are fancier than the MK and DL (heck! everything at TDL is fancier than the MK at WDW), but not as classy-looking as the DLP version. I'll be looking forward to the Mad Hatters the next time i visit as i have never seen thier show. In the meantime, doesn't the floor in the Mad Hatters' pictures look polished and clean?? Cleanliness is another area where TDL excells beyond the other Disney parks worldwide.

Originally Posted By TDLFAN Marc, i was not upset about the "Denny's" comment at all! I thought it was funny because what you say is very true. I guess the japanese audience is so used to the high quality of the show at TDL, and as such, mundane activies in such fantastic setting seems odd. Keep up your great reports.

It would fit great over at the former site of the Motor Boat cruise (if it wasn;t for that pestky monorail beam). A couple dimensional additions such as the sculptures and figures surrounding the TDL tea party and restaurant and we in CA could have a whole Wonderland suburb of Fantasyland. I know everyone reading this is rolling their eyes, but honestly wouldn't it be cool? Not to lose what we have, but to have that much more of something done even better. Alice has such a huge popularity here too....

To make matters worse, we know of Pressler's decree that nothing be added to the U.S. parks that pre-dates Ariel. The current mindset is that today's children do not know about Alice, Peter and Aurora. The strange irony is that these characters continue to be pumped out in "classic/platinum/etc... edition" video re-releases by the millions.

Which is, I suppose, why they are rumored to be putting in something about Winnie The Pooh in Disneyland, and did this exact same thing 2 years ago in Florida...

I think replacing Peter Pan's pirate ship with a flying carpet and having you go over arabian cities would be a nice update or addition, for example. Each of the films could have its own ride, very easily, and they'd likely be very popular, as they are of very recent origin.
