Everest's base certainly seems to have an additional 35-45 feet for its diameter. This is going to be a lot of fun watching Disney build a mountain again. The recent additions to the Disney Range have all turned out looking great: Grizzley Peak, Vulcania, and Disneyland Paris' Big Thunder Mountain. Here's hoping Everest tops them all.

It is so far away from where you can get to -- it appeared to be 140 ft or so to me. last week...........that was my best guess-- and you're right - the base is very very wide............

CMM nailed it, The attraction's structure will be the notorious 199 feet. I am most excited that they are using the new Vekoma track design. It should have some wicked-smooth banks! Even though the ride system is a rollercoaster, I think the build-out is occuring faster than a lot of Disney's other projects. Very easy to indentify the reason for this.
