This show is HUGE in Australia ( the adult version as well ) and enjoys good prime time ratings. I love watching the kids especially as they are so talented and cute. :)

Episode one: The kids are given a list of items to collect around Disneyland. Once all the items are collected they must head over to Disney California Adventure to make a meal out of the ingrediants that had been collected. This being Disneyland several characters are on hand to interact and greet the contestants.

Episode 2: The kids are invited to the Mad Hatters Tea Party and must make cupcakes. Followed by a preasure test where they must recreate a meal at New Orleans Square.

The more we can get kids interested in cooking their own food the better in my opinion, as it stops them wanting so much processed junk food.

The kids were so exciting to be flying over to Disneyland, it was so much fun to share in their excitement when they were told. :)

The 2012 adult version is just about to start here after Easter, I can't wait!

I feel a bit bad saying this but I just cannot get into the English version. The judges are so dry. I prefer our judges, as they have some personality and drama. lol

I do like John and Greg but find the pace and format a bit boring. The recent series especially bored me with plenty of recaps of what the contestants had done previously in every single episode. I could easily skip the first 20 mins. The Australia version does much less in the way of recaps and is by far a more impressive show with new challenges each night and a host of celebrity chefs. Including the big names like Heston.

I think you may be right Malin and it's the format that makes the English version a bit boring, rather then the judges. As I do remember Joh and Greg coming to Australia for the first season of our Masterchef and they added some fun to the show back then.
