And the "grab their feet and pull them underwater" thing is what the whales will do with a seagull if they can catch one. I wonder if something happened earlier in the day that triggered her behaviour. I hope they're able to figure it out. /cs

Because they are not domesticated, even the best trained whale's instincts may take over, and you end up with these kinds of stories.

It's funny, because I don't really care about the tricks they get them to do, I'd rather just watch the whales do what they do, and swim around with each other.
