Second, it is likely that La Nouba will close in the next few years and be replaced by another Cirque show (my money is on Mystere).

I get bored after 30 minutes of poker or slots.

But Vegas is an amazing place for the same reasons WDW is ... the resorts, the dining, the entertainment (OK, WDW can't compete on this at all).

I get tired of Vegas in a way I don't of WDW. But if I go a year without visiting, I start feeling like it's time ... been about six months now so I think I'm OK until 2008!

I had an OK time, but little repeatability factor for me I guess as gambling holds no interest for me and much of the rest I can get elsewhere...no offense to those who like Vegas... I have numerous friends who go for weekend trips....I would rather do a weekend trip somewhere and play 36 holes of golf a day, which would bore others. Different strokes....

I had heard talk in Las Vegas over the winter of Mystere possibly going to Orlando.

Any truth to that at all? Or will it be this new production or La Nouba stays?

Kevin also has said in the past that they'd be charging for parking at DD like at Uni (of course, Universal only charges during the day for the parks, not for shopping, etc. at night).

Anyone know....I doubt Mystere would replace the show since it just signed a new contract in Vegas a couple of years ago to extend its run there...Cirque really seems to have a problem dealing with old shows that should simply be retired....Saltimbalco is now being retooled as an arena show...Ancient touring tent show that should be gone but is now getting a new life due to the way Cirque is thinking these days...Their creative department is beginning to sound like Disney's...Milk it until there isn't a drop left....

I can't imagine Cirque bringing something such as Mystere to WDW without either major changes to the show or major changes to the theater...Better yet is the question of what really is the Tokyo show going to be? Something original or the La Nouba take off?

While I would normally oppose pay parking, I would support pay parking at DD. I also think they might loose a lot of business if they implement that policy. What kind of crowds does La Nouba generate now.

You may want to try it another time or two. Initially I never wanted to go to Vegas... but my wife really did. So a few years ago we planned a Road Trip to Disneyland and decided to stop in Vegas for a few days on the way back. We had a good time there, but like my first visit to WDW, I really wasn't all that impressed.

But I was intrigued. Last fall I really wanted to get away for a few days and Vegas seemed a great place to do it. My wife gave me the Okey Dokey and I was on my way. Being on my own really let me explore Vegas in a way that I had not before. What did I discover? That it had more to offer than I ever dreamed!!

So I asked my wife if we could go there again for my birthday and she agreed. She also agreed that she was far more impressed this time than she had been before. Like WDW, Vegas can be so overwhelming on your first trip that it is hard to really evaluate what it offers. On subsequent trips you start to discover what makes it so special.

Las Vegas offers a level of options and excitement that I've never found anywhere else. Yes, Disney is still my first love and always will be. But when the usual starts to seem usual, I'm sure glad I've got Ms. Vegas there waiting for me with open arms...

    :)
