I saw two signs there. With the one to the right saying it's at Citrus Cafe.

They sometimes use the back end of the Mrs. Knott's Chicken Dinner Restaurant for Pre-Scare, but not normally.

Like you just said. Well .. as this "pre scare" is a buffet, does that mean ... that some off-site kitchen is just producing massive hordes of these "buffet" items to be spread out to these various locations you mention? I'm so glad you are offering all this info .... as I'm trying to plan out my trip. I will get the "Haunted Dreams" package with the two 'pre scare' dinner tickets. One other person is coming with me. But what I want to do .. is have (third person) my Mom join in .. and just eat off the regular menu. Now .. if Mrs. Knott's is only used as a POSSIBLE spill-over location ... how do I plan on dinner for 3 .. with 2 with the planned buffet .. but the third person just dropping in to join in for dinner, and as I mentioned, eat off the regular menu? Or can they do the buffet ala cart? I was planning on the historical Mrs. Knott's for the three of us. More fun! (Not the hotel location).

The Knott's Hotel is RIGHT on property .. just as close as the Grand Californian is to Disneyland. For a decent/nice hotel .. the 2 tickets for the Haunt, 2 for dinner, 2 for breakfast the next day ...... It's a great idea, and a great package! And I hit all the mazes I want, commando style .. and when the place closes .. I'm 10 minutes (if that) from crashing into bed! LOL

So .. for the privilege of going one week closer to Halloween .. you pay 30 dollars more. LOL

What difference is it really from one week or the next? Particularly with so much going on in Southern California .. even now! Still, EVEN several days from the first day of October! Disneyland does more now, than ever before ... Magic Mountain, Universal Studios has expanded their "Halloween" festivities. Everywhere you drive .. in retail ... decorations up everywhere. It's like Christmas. From the third week of Sept ... even up to November 1st (for this year). For 5-6 weeks .. Halloween is a time that is one giant holiday enjoyed all month (and more) long. People can get just as much into the mood on October 1st .. as October 31st. And with crowds ever getting worse with 17 million people here in SoCal ......... It makes so much more sense to get into some of these fun Halloween festivities early! And you don't have to feel like - "Oh, Halloween is like 3 weeks away." It does not feel that way anymore. There's too much going on now .. Even people's homes get all decorated .. as much as they do for Christmas. So book your Halloween festivities now for early or mid October. You're not missing anything by not going on the actual Halloween day/eve. Save Halloween for trick or treating in your neighborhood!
