Last day at DLR, and my birthday. After the EPIC birthday dinner, and previous meals, we have leftovers that must be consumed or thrown away. Everyone eats some sort of left over something for breakfast except me - I'm just not hungry enough yet. We also have to pack EVERYTHING back up, and load it in the car, if we want to enjoy the park before we leave. With the auto check out system, they've already put the previous days of self park on my credit card, so it's easy enough to just load it all in the car and walk to the parks.

We're all tired, and dragging a bit, but we make it to early entry, and countdown. We're very happy that we CAN still get in early. I wasn't sure if they were enforcing the one early entry per trip or not. Off to Star Tours again, and THIS TIME, not only do we get another different place, but I am the rebel spy! Great way to start my birthday! We ran around and rode as much as we could, I finally made it to the Jolly Holiday for some snacks. Since I hadn't had breakfast, I grabbed a chocolate croissant and a mocha. Sis had a cinnamon roll and a mocha, too. WOW. First time I've really liked a coffee drink at DL, and the pastries were great. We'd have probably gone back for lunch, but we were determined to hit Corn Dog Castle for myself and sis before we left. Had our silhouettes done as a gift for our mom, which she LOVED. All sorts of souvenirs bought, and happy, but foot sore humans headed to the car. We left a little on the early side, to be sure my sister would make it through security in Burbank in time to get home, and we waded our way out through traffic back towards home. Stopped in Fillmore for food at my favorite Greek place out that way (Yanni's, if you're out that direction), then made the rest of the trip home.

Much fun was had, lots of silliness between the four of us women, and I got back some of my Disney joy that had been missing since the disastrous trip in October 2010. My family, after seeing how much fun I had, is less apprehensive about the upcoming trip for all of us in May! Hooray! Now, to see if we'll try for another family trip for daughter's birthday in October, or we'll head out to do something else for that.

I'll be in town for a convention, and have evenings free most of the week, then the family will come down to spend Friday night - Sunday afternoon. Should be fun, but I'm going to have to watch it or I'll run my feet off before they family even gets there! We're also trying to coordinate transportation, so we'll have enough parking spaces. We'll see how it goes. We've never done Mother's Day at the park, either, so, lots of new things!
