However last time we went down to DL we stayed at a hotel (not one of the DL Resort ones) and found that someone had gone through my duffle. Really torqued me off too! At WDW I left my laptop out on the table, not even in its case, and didn't think twice about it (then again, we were in the concierge building at Polynesian, so only select people, with a concierge key, could enter the building). In DL, at GCH, I didn't end up using it so it stayed in the case, but the case was where all our other bags were. I'm sure I should have been smarter by at least sticking the bag in the closet or something, but I'm sure your laptop will be fine, especially if you are staying at a DL hotel.

We do always lock them up with a cable. We lock them to the bed frame or some like object and then put them in their cases so the lock isn't so obvious. I hate looking like I don't trust people. I don't know if the cables have done anything, but we still have our laptops after all these years and many trips!
