It seems like it flew by...and again we slept in...some people are going to say we wasted park time sleeping in...but I'll just say now we got everything done we wanted to and with all that is going on in real life, the rest was very welcomed! SO we got up and going and out of the room about 1145am again, back to the parking garage and tram and into DL. We rode the train all the way around one more time and got off at New Orleans Square after our initial plan to eat at R2P2 changed to the French Market. Nick remembered it from our last trip and wanted to eat there again...fine by me. I had the fried chicken and Nick had the French Dip, both yummy and alot of food! We also got the cheesecake with the lovely gummie spider on it....we decided after 2 bites each we should have got one to share instead of our own. OH well, live and learn! I wanted to go to ToonTown since I hadn't been in years, so we took the train to ToonTown and just checked out all the bells and whistles and kabooms! I took lots of pictures, Santa Goofy came out for pics but the line was long before they even knew who was coming out that we didn't wait, I got a couple side shots though! So we went thru Minnie and then Mickey's houses and I got Nick in line with me to see Mickey. We got our pic taken and it's the cheesiest thing ever! No pun intended! But it was fun! After that we wandered around some more, I was taking pics of everything...we got back to Tomorrowland and grabbed some sodas and watched part of Jedi Training Academy..cute for kids. After that we tried Innoventions...my feet hurt by this point and I just wasn't in the mood to think, so I didn't really get into the stuff inside, so we checked out of there. Sidenote* My dad loves the pecan nuttles from the Candy Palace, so I'd been checking constantly all trip for them, to no avail. So after another check of the Candy Palace, we head over and do the Tiki Room...I was surprised Nick suggested it. Then we went on one last go-round on Pirates. Fun as always, except that we were in the last row in the boat and on the 2nd drop, there was a wave that got half of Nick and did the lovely puddle under your butt at the back of the seat thing....we both had wet hineys after that. So we are now basically pooped, tired of screaming kids and being run into/over with scooters and strollers and people just not looking and we have wet butts and it's cold....so we make one last jaunt down Main St, check for the pecan nuttles, no luck again so we spend our last few dollars on candy for the families and head out of the park. We grabbed McDonald's on the way to the hotel and actually went to bed early to get ready for the LONG fight and drive with Day before Thanksgiving Traffic. We left HoJo's about 1115am on Wed morning...took 2 hrs to get to the Grapevine. Grabbed a quick lunch in Castaic and got home at 745pm. Not a fun drive, but we made it. It was a great trip, very relaxing and mellow which is what we both wanted and needed, and hopefully we'll get another long weekend in a few months and can do it again!
