Do they still have the "little chefs" thing where they mix cookies? Is that on the left of the castle?
Any other cute things like that we might be missing? What is the thing at CA about making the "snowman" and do you know where it is?
Any other special "free" or not bday things for dd(turning 6)? We know about getting the bday sticker/phone call at City Hall and have ressies for lunch at bb and ordered her a birthday bucket. I also read about getting tortillas at the factory but they probably won't like that too much. Anything else? Did Pat E cake last year for ds-fun but don't want to do it again. Should we get her the bday sticker for the day before too when we do Fantasmic Balcony? Any special things there, already having dessert?
We have PS for Tratoria and we were told that we will be able to see the Block Party Parade really well by the CM. Is this true? Our ressie is for 5:00 and I guess the parade starts at 5:15, we've never seen it before. Is the food good there? This might be a "risky" thing if we can't get back into DL on Sat (11/26) or a welcome relief from the crowds. Any thoughts?
Kids love Stitch but we've always done Goofys and made ressies for Stitch. Read it is NOT good. Anyone been lately and did you like it?
My kids are scared of the fireworks and the crowds-ugh. Any thoughts on where to be kind of away from the worst areas because they still really want to see the snow so they will tolerate the noise of the fireworks for that! It doesn't snow where we live.
Thanks for helping us make our trip the best it can be!!!

When I saw the little chefs doing there thing, it was on the porch of the Plaza Pavilion and I think the cost was about 10 bucks. This was last summer though, so it could have changed. You can always check with City Hall when you enter the park to make sure about times and locations.

I like the food at Tratoria. It's tasty Italian stuff. Reminded me of an indoor/outdoor Olive Garden or Macaroni Grill.

Sorry, I don't follow what you're saying. Are you comparing the Goofy character breakfast and the Stitch breakfast? If so, I think Goofy's is better (and I'm a huge stitch fan). The Lilo and Stitch breakfast was a pretty big disappointment to us. It just seemed like uncontrolled chaos (the kids and characters were just playing tag in the restaurant, not really visiting with different tables). They stuck us in the corner and the characters barely blew past us with a wave. The food was good be fewer choices than Goofy's Kitchen.

If you just want to see snow, you can hang out between the Matterhorn and Small World to see it. Hopefully that area would be less crowded. Down by Small World the fireworks get really BIG AND LOUD though.

We also went earlier in the morning. Maybe crowds play a big difference.

I'm glad to hear that you liked the Tratoria. Is it all outside seating? That's what the CM told me and we would be able to see the bbp from any spot. True?

I was trying to compare Goofys with Lilo&Stitch breakfasts. I've heard lots of bad things about L&S and am worried about taking the time to go if it's bad. Especially if it "uncontrolled chaos". My kids are so shy and timid, the only time they see the characters at Goofy's is when they come directly to the table. They never go join in the little dancing stuff and they aren't pushy by any means(not like their Mom-lol). Mickeynewe, at least you had a good experience. We will see how the schedule plays out. I think I will just make a few more PS ressies just to be covered esp. if they close DL. I wouldn't chance it and leave just to do L&S!

I've packed the ear plugs-lol and we wil just see how it goes with the fireworks and the crowds. I will consider it lucky if we get to see both parades so if we miss the fireworks, I'll just have to live with it. At least we will see some of them from the balcony.

Who knows, I just heard that it will be raining on Thanksgiving! I don't mind rain while in the parks, except if they cancel Fantasmic. I just don't want to be driving 6 hours inn the rain-too scary!

Cookie decorating is fun too, but that one you do pay for. We did in 2 years ago when we were there for Christmas. The other poster was right- its in the $3-5 range. They get a cookie, sprinkles and frosting.

We hope to do the cookie decorating too but now that it is in the Reindeer Round-up area, it might be tricky although DH said he will stand in the Santa Picture line while we do other stuff!
