Clearly, the softness in O-Town's hotel market is starting to show. Disney offering this discount is a pre-emptive strike with people cancelling left and right.

Sometimes values have been as low as $49, I believe even last year. Kids are back in school - it is probably the slowest time of the year. I always hear it's due to the "hurricane season", but that is from July through November. Denise

Well, gas is reaching a point and the hotels on priceline are dropping to a point were it will be break even or cheaper to Priceline or Hotwire a hotel, esp if it has a free breakfast, and stay the night in Orlando.

Many condo-type hotels also for rates not much more than the Pop Century at full price (or discounted over the summer, the PC was like $100 still!) I don't use PL much anymore, because you never know what other fees are going to be attached to a hotel. I am in a REALLY nice place in Anaheim starting next week - with full kitchen, full breakfast - for only $82 per night, which is incredible. Denise
