A root canal would be preferable to listening to New Kids on the Block or that chick that sings "Tattoo" or "No Air". I'd rather a poke in the eye with a sharp stick.

Night Ranger opened for Ozzy and Brad Gillis filled in when Randy Rhodes died. They weren't Heavy Metel, but were firmly in the Pop Metal genre.

It was like nails on a blackboard.....a lot of bands sold out around that same period, including one from my neighborhood - Styx.

    Sister Christian
    Oh the time has come
And you know that you're the only one
    To say O.K.
    But you're motoring
    You're motoring

    oh my....

p.s. dyshates - I have seen Ozzy about 10 timesin my life - including with Sabbath before the first split -- and I did see Brad Gillis with them after Rhoades was gone and before Jack E Lee.

Of course it doesn't make sense - it's the 80s! Nothing in the 80s made sense - that's why the 80s are so much fun, because they were such crap! For example...

    mullets
    neon fabric
    fingerless lace gloves
    acid washed jeans
    parachute pants

    I could go on...
