Except for the bad parents and screaming brats. <<But its one of those movies that your either get or not get - >> The same could be said for virtually any movie. I enjoyed it. That's really all I care about. And it's going to make a huge pile of money for Disney considering all the folks around here that want to label it 'a disappointment.'

And some of us are aware of that reality without necessarily needing a movie to point that out to us. /cs

I understand that many people understand this..however few do anything about it..to me the theme of themovie was to try and recapture some of the slowness/quaintness of the past. As someone 51 years old already..and with 2 grown children...my life as a coorporate exec flew by ( as did much of my life) as I worked 12 -1 5 hours a day for the past 25 years -- traveling 75% of the time and focused on only the fast paced world of business...now today with some health issues and having missed a lot of things I can;t get back...I can tell you in my opinion that theme needs to be sent to more people...of course - just my opinion, you are entitled to yours also.

I was speaking of my experiences. I wish I wasn't exposed to bad parents who let their children scream and cry for 20 minutes and had to be told by a stranger to take them outside. People, of all ages, don't seem to notice they have to share the planet with the rest of us. Common decency is at an all-time low, at least in my lifetime. I'll mourn its passing, but I won't stop taking shots -- as you put it -- at those who perpetrate it.

At 16 I loved him sure, but I loathed his methods of fathering. At that time I thought he was unfair, unreasonalbe, always on Mom's side, I didn't get to do things "everyone else" was doing. Then when I turned 25 or so, he became my best friend on this Earth. He passed away two or three years later after my first child was born, and in that hour I understood everything. It is sooo different when the child becomes the dad and the dad becomes the friend. I only regret that I had such a short while to enjoy my father as my best friend. He died way too young. Back to the topic! I loved Cars and am happy it is doing well. I get a sense that the general public WANTS to like this movie. I know I WANTED to love it, and I do.
