Thanks to the efforts of Clean the World discarded Walt Disney World hotel soaps and shampoos are being used in the effort to contain the recent outbreak of cholera in Haiti. The mission of Clean the World (established 2009) is simple -- help reduce infant mortality while also reducing environmental waste through a program that safely recycles discarded soaps and shampoos from hotels for redistribution. Walt Disney World resorts are among the numerous US and Canadian hotels that participate in the recycling program.

Now, there has to be someone out there who can tell us exactly why think think this is a horrible thing because of ingredients X, Y, and Z in the soaps and shampoos, and how the damage those ingredients will cause to the health of these people or the environment will be worse than any benefit, and how this is all just a corporate plot of some kind.

(Sorry... I've just seen one too many "warnings" from Facebook contacts about how ordinary consumer products that millions of people are using with no ill effects are actually deadly.)
