    I'm not always opposed to remakes. I thought Cameron's "Titanic" was a better film than 1958's "A Night to Remember", which was probably considered the "classic" film about the Titanic disaster. While neither of those films have the status of the films you mentioned, I hope you can understand where I am coming from.

    ORDDU: A witch could be wrong, but I doubt that Disney would ever make a movie on the first book--The Wizard of Oz--due to the popularity of M-G-M's iconic version. But there is so much territory to cover with Oz that the possibilities are endless. I would actually like them to pick up where they left off with Return to Oz and bring Dorothy back, along with Tic Toc, Jack Pumpkinhead, Ozma, Billina, etc.

    They could make another sequel to the Wizard of Oz, and deal with the events of that movie as a flashback. A loose adaption of "The Road to Oz" might work - Dorothy and a companion are propelled back to Oz, and she then tells what happened to her before. They set off toward the Emerald City and along the way meet the Wizard,who is returning to Glinda's side after journeying back to the real world briefly at the end of "The Wizard of Oz".

    No there weren't. None of the fans who bought a ticket had read or seen the script.
