And, I can fast-forward the musical numbers.

For years, Regis Philbin would give pre-taped segments on "what's new" throughout the telecast. And they usually had a brief taped update from Disneyland, showing bits of their parade, perhaps a singer or two, and also what was new at DLR. Now, it just seems so homogenized as one big "informercial" for "Disney Parks" vs WDW, though I guess that is what this program has always been, I suppose.

I remember one year during a live telecast that the weather wasn't quite so nice where there was a little rain. I think that, along with cost considerations, 9/11 security issues, and guest inconvenience on Christmas Day, prompted them to abandon the "live" telecast in favor of an all pre-recorded program.

I was so let down this year and turned it off half way through. It use to be something worth watching a few years ago. Very cheap now...

LOL,Yea most of it was bad! It seems like they were catering more towards preteens than adults. I wonder if Disney knows that their current tv shows are pretty much garbage?

I dont think the Mariah Carey bit was terrible, she is preggers with twins.

I forgot to watch or tape the parade. Sounds like I didn't miss much.

Wish I could see them when I go to the parks!!
