The Disney Parks Blog has posted two concept images of ElecTRONica -- where guests of Hollywood Pictures Backlot at Disney California Adventure will step in the world of Tron: Legacy Friday, Saturday and Sundays beginning October 8. Each night live entertainers, complete with lasers, glow accessories will rock the dance floor -or should we say- game grid. ElecTRONica will be presented nightly during Thanksgiving and Christmas week. Aside from the dance party fun, ElecTRONica will feature Flynn’s Video Arcade, face painting, and the TRON: Evolution video game area.

It'll end up looking empty (and therefore unpopular).
    Just my opinion.

Not only that it'll be cold in the evenings come November and December. I can't see dancing in the streets and sipping cocktails at night in Anaheim at that time of the year.

You'll be forced to dance and buy drink or you'll freeze your butt off, it's brilliant!

And for those that mentioned the cold weather - some of the events for ElecTRONica will be housed indoors. Flynn's Arcade will be indoors, either in the Hollywood and Dine building or Stage 17. Also, a short 3D Tron film is rumored to go into the MuppetVision 3D theatre. The film will show at night with the regular attraction playing during the day.

I'm interested to see how it all works out, since they have the potential for some really neat decorations. Are those Light Cycles going to be projected, racing around the area? That might be neat!

And with the way things work, it will be plenty dark to get the party started by 6, so there will be even more time to get your groove on!

This still won't stop me from going to Glow Fest on Monday to shut it down one last time.

Because the shillouhettes of characters on all the decorations, the character kaleidoscopes on every TV around (including the dozens brought in specifically for the event), and the remixes of soudn clips from Disney movies wasn't over Disneyfying it at all. There was already plenty of Disney scattered through the event, it will just be a specific aspect of the company with the new version.

I love the name and hope they stick with it. I thought there was another name (or non-name) used by Disney after Al (yep I said it) leaked the name ElecTRONica.

Beyond Manfried, I can't figure out how people could be so negative about this.

And yeah, it's SO cold on November and December evenings that people have to go home and sit by their heaters! Really??? People love being outside at the DLR in the late Fall. Sheesh.
