A few days later, a few of the guys circulated a "Would you shave Lincoln" petition (jokingly of course). I can't remember the exact terminology, but it was hilarious, floridly highlighting all the great men in history who sported beards, including Jesus.

They've managed to do a pretty good job with the moustaches, but there's also a lot more to maintain with a beard. The easiest solution is probably to keep the rules the way they are. Are there even that many CMs who want to have a beard? I would think that it would be uncomfortably warm in outdoor positions during the summer, and it would be pretty tough to get it started between shifts (for me at least)!
