There needs to be a number of unique attractions that will draw new fans in. That's what did it for me, originally...the fact that Disney quality and level of storytelling can exist in something NOT inherently Disney (Real world issues...) is quite amazing. Disney needs to do that again to broaden their base. Will they? Probably not until it's profitable to them, which might be a while, seeing fanbois, like you said, still like the same old stuff.

By all accounts he is a good guy and I'm sure he will do well at his new role trying to work out Parks & Resorts' place in the world. Global Development haven't got much built since they came into being. Nick needed to focus on NGE - you can't spend north of a billion dollars and have another job. He was also Jay's protege of sorts so he has lost that "shield" now that Tom is running WDP&R. Time will tell what NGE turns out to be. Spending a billion dollars on RFID tags won't cut it. Although it certainly did Paul Pressler well at GAP!
