And Disney said no. As for Maelstrom, it's horribly dated and looks pretty bad. People on the ride were laughing at it behind me last time.

The concept of a film AFTER the ride was novel, but never really worked. Most people seem to skip the film now anyway.

I have a Norwegian side of the family, and I don't stop for the film. I have been to Norway, and was actually just recently looking at flights on SAS as I consider an autumn vacation, but none of that had anything to do with visiting the Norway pavilion at Epcot. If anything, the current state of the pavilion overall would keep me away from visiting if I didn't already know how wonderful and scenic the country is. Didn't they just shoehorn in a Thor meet 'n greet there, to give the place an even more embarassing vibe? Or was that a joke someone posted?

The largest groups were from Sweden (25%), Germany (16%) and Denmark (14%), followed by visitors from the UK, the Netherlands and the US. So my guess would be that Norway has not more than 300,000 visitors from the US annually. I am really not sure how much sense it would make to spend money on a film at Epcot which most likely would not increase that number to a great extent.
