There are extra barges out there for the additional fireworks at New Years, 4th of July, etc.

Anytime I'm feeling low and need a pick me up I put on the music from Illuminations or the Tapestry Parade. I play it for the neighborhood, right through the walls.

Obviously, you have good taste. That's one of the ones I have in my car right now. Sometimes wish my ride to work was longer.

I'm not sure how much room there is on the normal ones, but would it be possible to just load two sets of things on those (two identical pairs of launching tubes for each thing, not two in the same tube), and shoot one of for the first performance, and the other for the second? It seems like this would be the easiest, but if there is no room, then it makes sense to just use a different set of barges.

No wonder WDW is stuck in 1988 mode.

Puts me right smack in the mood every time!

I really LOVE this show, watch it 3 or 4 times every trip, and look forward to watching it many more times. I understand the need for change, but in this case change is not needed or required. Look at how long the MSEP ran in DL - many many years. IllumiNations is doing just fine, and with any luck will continue for years.
