The study referenced in this article can be dowloaded here: <a href="http://papers.ssrn.com/sol3/papers.cfm?abstract_id=1839544" target="_blank">http://papers.ssrn.com/sol3/pa...=1839544</a>

It offers a very well researched insight into the international CM program and the huge financial benefits it brings for WDW (one estimate is that it saves the company $17 million annually) as well as how Disney is able to influence law making. Most of it is very readable since it is more of an analysis of the facts than a lot of legal babble (the legal babble can be easily skimmed).

And I really liked Kit Johnson's conclusion: "The immigration laws on the books and the throngs of tourists wearing Mickey Mouse ears in Florida have one thing in common - they are both inevitably susceptible to the magic of Disney."
