It's getting a bit tireing to be labelled as some sort of extremist around the place for not liking what they're doing to IASW or with the character invasion of the park general. Tis nice to have a good articulation of the case against the addition that doesn't fall back into pure nostalgia about Walt and Mary Blair.

everyone in my family knows how much I love IASW. and they all thought I would freek at changes there.. I didn't. I thought It was going to be a lovely new clean up. ( I have seen the video of FL one. its lovely!) but.. I HAVE Lost Faith in EVERY Change at Disneyland Now.
becuse it is a fine line of what you said.
I feel there are few (Picasso analogy,)
left any more. and somehow . a NEW Washed out.. whatever. will be standing in their place.. people just dont GET IT!
I love what you said about Tomorrowland.
at least you understand ..WHAT Walt was trying to create there!.. not some cartoonland.. but a SHOWING of A GREAT BIG BEAUTIFUL TOMORROW.. hope of the coming Future.. even if its only a dream.
not cartoons.. lol even the floating saucers.. look good now.. as some kind of planet transportation.
Don't get me wrong.. I like buzz ride!
but how about in DCA. tomorrowland should be about our HOPES at least.. for the future..

    im ranting..sorry..
but there IS Something MORE.. about the MEANING of the rides /lands .the priceless originals we are losing the meaning behind. with every new wash out they add to it. people can get mad if they want to.. but I know a SHIMMERING GEM when I see one!.. and WHY?????? cant they go and make a new one themselves. and just STOP all ready !!!!! STOP THE MADNESS!! on picking on the old stuff.. ( like..what.. theres no new property to go work on like in DCA? for cartoon land or whatever? )The hard FACT!!!! to ME<<
Is they have no creativeness OF THEIR OWN INVENTION!
    so they just keep ummmmm
Dang I wish I could say it..
    Ummm
    Messing with.
    The Picasso of other Artists!
WOO HOO! I said it how I feel it!

We're overdue. Sure, 'carsland' may be big and ambitious, and I may love it when it opens, but DL is the park that I actually care about. And while I'm grateful that they've been improving on the maintenance of existing attractions, they've been resting on those laurels since before the 50th. It's not enough - they also need to add new and interesting attractions, not just correct the most egregious mistakes of recent history.

    Maybe someday.

You didn't mention 'pooh' but this is another relative clone of an MK attraction. And it should be pointed out that both DLs 'buzz' and 'pooh' are considered inferior knock-offs to their florida counterparts. Let's not even bring TDLs 'pooh' into this - it still rankles too much.

And a small thing - I was in the parks thursday and friday of last week, and I noticed much less live music than I remember. We saw the marching band a couple of times on main street, but there was no area entertainment in NOS, and the only other live music we encountered was the TLT rock band on friday night.

As for the music, it's interesting. I have been so conditioned by no live music at DLP and little at the MK in WDW, that DL seemed full of it in March.

Isn't April considered the slow season so far as Live music is concerned?
