While I think it would get really annoying if they were constantly pumping Mickeys into the sky, I don't think it would be too bad if they used them for a show or something. They definately seem like they have a ton of potential for sporting events, or some sort of grand finale to a show. The only real problem that I could see with that is they take about 15 seconds to make each one, so it would be tough to get a bunch to all appear at once. I do sort of wonder how Disney will use them though...
