DHS Fantasmic! needs a six month rehab to get it into the 21st century. What can they get done in just 5 weeks? Install some new LED lighting and new speakers? Maybe some new sequins sewn on the costumes?

When DL's show was down, they were still limited by park hours since the River wasn't drained at that time (ironically, about 8 months after the addition of the dragon, they did their big draining for the next 5-8 years).

If they had new barges for the princess/monkey scenes ready to go, they could probably do the upgrades to those pretty easily as well. I'm not sure if a month is long enough by itself to install the new lights and get everything worked out.

It figures that they finally decided to run it nightly for the summer, so they needed to cut back somewhere else. I just hope that they take advantage of this downtime to give it some of the technical updating that it needs.

Disney can get about as much done in a month as Congress.

The Disney Theatrical Dept could install a new show in 30 days.

Absolutely. I've seen entire television studios changed ofer to HD in less time...and that's soup to nuts....changing over multiple control rooms(and i mean gutting and rebuilding), wiring throughout the facility, upgrading of sets, switching audio booths from analog to digital, all new equipment which technicians (such as myself) would have to come up to speed on post haste and all of this while the facility was still hosting production. I'm not even talking about Network type resources here either.

It's a matter of commitment to the project and allocating the resources. They've known this show has been badly in need for a long time now. Overdue? Yes. Doable? Most certainly.

    HAH.

Though, they could have done some work already, behind the scenes...
