Besides, my parents live in Oklahoma, my brother lives in Washington and my sister lives in Orange County, but they already have annual passes. As the next closest family member, it's a great way for them to help me be part of their Orange Bowl experience!

Hopefully, it works. And since they've been staying at the CBR and I've been advising them on which parks to go to on which days and what order to do go on the rides, where to eat, all of that, they'll be kind.

I guess Jessica wasn't available because usually if there's a network camera around, you can't get rid of her.

My brother can't stand either Kelly Clarkson or Ashlee, so I can't wait for him to get home so I can start teasing him about spending so much money to fly cross country to watch his team get whipped AND get that wonderful halftime show as a bonus. At least he got to spend two days at WDW.

I have heard that tickets were going for $1000 a pop. Instead of giving free park tickets to 72,000 people who could afford to go to the game, why not give 72,000 tickets to a local charity?

Because those 72,000 people who could have afforded their own ticket, are far more likely to spend a good chunk of change in the Disney Resort. People who get a Disney ticket via charity, are more likely to pack a lunch, not buy souvenirs, etc. Plus, many free ticket recipients may have gone to the game with one family member, and will now take additional people with them to Disney.

I don't think this is a charitable move on Disney's part, but more likely the equivalent of giving out a coupon or flyer.

Ah, a nice dose of cynicism to start the new year...

Oh... And the sound guy for the halftime broadcast...? Is probably out of work today. Did ya'll hear the dead air and then the guy's voice going "Testing 1,2" when Ms. Clarkson was supposed to be the voice coming over the airwaves? Heh heh heh...

    An utter mess.

But USC won, so my dad's a happy camper! :)
