From what I know about Disney's menus, it must have been a counter service or ODV location, meaning that there were no CM's in the immediate vicinity while they were eating. My guess is that mom and dad touched the cheese, realized that it was really hot, and wanted to make a buck. I do feel bad for the kid. It's a shame that a trip like that had to be ruined (presumably), and that his parents don't seem to have any sense. That could lead to all sorts of other issues down the road...

Disney aggressively fights suits like this in court. If there was some sort of incident last March, there will doubtless be a full report. It seems hard to believe that Disney would have fumbled the ball if anything really bad happened.

You would think someone along the line would have handled that cup of cheese and realized it was scalding hot (160 degrees at least to cause those injuries).

    From another angle: <a href="http://www.cbsnews.com/8301-504083_162-20031531-504083.html" target="_blank">http://www.cbsnews.com/8301-50...083.html</a>

"the child was sitting in a wobbly chair"

    Declining by degrees?

Even if he did try to drink it, which is exactly what the location of the burns looks like, to cause those injuries, the cheese was served way too hot.

Looks like one of those brilliant, under paid food CM's nuked the tub of cheese and just served it. And as we all know, hot cheese stays hot for quite some time, and sticks to the skin.

Parents negligence, maybe....Disney's negligence, looks like it. Dumb four year old? Nope, just a little kid acting his age. Now, the stupid lady putting the McDonald's coffee between her legs, I'll still call an idiot, LOL
