    I'm sad to hear this. He made a huge contribution to films (Disney and non-Disney) in a time long before CGI. He was a real master at what he did, and I doubt there were any others that could do the same things that he managed to look real. I hope that the technique of matte painting doesn't get lost with CGI, but I fear that it may be an amazing art form that will fade away with time. Ellenshaw was a true master of his work and will be missed.

    Thankfully, he had a wonderful and creative life, where none of that talent went to waste.
    A gentleman and master of his craft.
