These were two 1st rate edutainment attractions going forever. There is plenty of room for both Mermaid and the preview center. I shall morn their passing, as I agree with Jim, it did give DCA a cool Epcot vibe. Now comes Fantasyland/DHS phase 2 :-(

Seasons of the Vine was exactly what it was supposed to be, a nice sidebar attraction done with class and heart. This is exactly the kind of attraction that makes Non-MK Disney parks unique. That said, since Mondavi pulled out it felt as if Disney gave up on the entire concept and with not even staffing the attraction showed me that they needed to replace it at that point. If it is something they can't get behind, replace it. I do like the idea of a preview center, and since Disney gave up on Seasons, thats as good a place as any.

It was one of the too many films they put in the park with no real attraction behind them. The film would have served as a very nice pre or post show to an actual ride that never got put in. I generally don't even consider the winery an area, I kind of forget about it, because it's little more than a place to eat. It's another area in the park where they put in a themed idea, and did NOTHING with it. Along with the SF area and the wharf area. What a mess. There is so much to the wine country areas in this state, and they just sort of did zilch. A five minute film. Oh well.

Not sure it would be fun for the AA set, though, but not every attraction has to be for everyone. SFH

So we ended up with a couple of restaurants and film. See, it's not the theme. It's how they executed on it. And then, instead of enriching what was already established they ignored it and let it rot.
