It isn't as big of an issue in Southern California as most places, but if there is moisture that gets trapped between the snow cap and the real roof, that could make both get pretty icky pretty quickly. While I don't really understand the order that they're going in (the big roof in the center has been done for several days, but the turrets on the corners of the main section of the building that flank that roof section are still missing, and it's pretty clear where the outlines of those roofs go), I don't mind them taking the time to do it right. Hopefully in the future they will be able to do it in less time, but for the first time I really don't mind the extra wait. Also, keep in mind that there isn't a crane hiding in any obvious place, so they need to move that in and out of position each night, making it even more complicated.
