Let's keep on slamming Disney before the finished product is revealed....

I know there are several topics here where TSM has been discussed from a critical point of view. Why can't there be one where people who are just interested in it can talk about it? Not every topic has to be a debate, does it?

Didn't know Al had ridden the attraction.

Take it from someone that has - it is an hugely entertaining attraction that provides something for everyone. There is a lot going on but that is the point - there is repeatability built-in. This is going to be a crowd-pleaser.

I don't see my comment as "slamming" TSM. Nor was my comment overly "serious." But your righteous indignation IS pretty laughable (hence Laughing Place, right?).

I was merely making a comment to temper expectations for TSM. Many people seem to have a hard time getting their head around the fact that this is not, by Disney's own admission, an E-ticket. So internet expectations grow and people expect this ride to save/revitalize MGM. But that's something Disney has a problem doing these days---living up to expectations.

I'm really glad leemac says this is a "crowd-pleaser." (Whatever that means. Apparently there is more than one type of crowd who visits the parks.)

Anyway, I won't be rushing out to ride it when it opens. I'll wait a couple of years until they open something else substantial at MGM by which time I'm sure TSM won't be running in tip-top shape. I have therefore rationalized my earlier comment. And again, I ask ya Doobie, et al.: Why so serious? Criticism of Disney doesn't hurt anybody.

I'm really sorry to derail this topic ... I very much disagree. For the vast majority of people Disney is simply a place to go on vacation and they come to places like this to talk about it, get excited about, etc. I love that LP has topics for the hardcore fans to debate. But I also think there should be places for the trip planners to simply talk about their trip without people coming in and saying

    <<<
Another WDI classic! Classic screw-up, that is.
    >>>

is very much a downer and doesn't need to be said in every topic. As I said, not everything here needs to be a debate and comments like that only create debate. if "Classic screw-up" isn't slamming an attraction, I don't know what is.

    Doobie.

It sounds like something people of all ages can enjoy many times. It sounds like a 3D Buzz Lightyear,so it should be fun. Life doesn't have to be filled with E-ticket rides.

Our first trip to WDW, husband & I thought we were going to spend a week just watching our kids go round in circles on rides. Who knew?
Now we're going back next month with added 2 son in laws, and 3 grandchildren (almost 6, 7.5 & 9.5). And we'll all be able to participate in attractions, learn, enjoy and have a great time together. Memories.

By the way, that's Disney's own doing. That is what happens when you let the marketing folks run the property.
