Peter Tyler is claiming Disney wouldn't hire him because of his disability. He is deaf and following Disney's refusal to hire him and has struggled over the past year for a court hearing in the matter.

I'd hate to think it was just because he's deaf.

I remember reading a research paper that included a little experience where a white woman would call up a company looking to work in a factory that manufactures computer chips. When she called, she was told there are no openings.

Then she got some of her graduate students with accents to call. Suddenly there were openings. For some menial jobs, they only want people who don't "look American," to use their beliefs. It's not even a secret. The electronics recruiters and even the workers know what's going on.
