I know this article is for the Magic Kingdom, but if the Anaheim Duffy can make to Disneyland, he'll be coming as the Mummy.

And eh, I love the Christmas Party. Perfect for a traveling day, and it's cheaper than a full day. Also, very classy to have a half empty MK and all the frills.

Anywho, Duffy has failed to takeoff. Don't know why they continue to push him like they do.

Well.. I have attended MNSSHP several times and while it is a fun evening at the park, it is also an overpriced event for what is there to do. Hong Kong Disneyland and Tokyo Disneyland are offering halloween events on a MUCH BIGGER scale AND AT REGULAR DAY TICKET PRICES.. so you can enjoy the whole day at the park and also the halloween entertainment, which pales with the MK's party.. (sorry japanese language page only)

    <a href="http://www.tokyodisneyresort.co.jp/tdl/event/halloween2011/" target="_blank">http://www.tokyodisneyresort.c...een2011/</a>

And even Hong Kong Disneyland is taking on a more Universal like event than any other Disney park.. again.. AT REGULAR DAY PRICES.

    <a href="http://park.hongkongdisneyland.com/hkdl/html/Halloween/en_US/index.html" target="_blank">http://park.hongkongdisneyland...dex.html</a>

I feel bad for all of you being so royally ripped off at the MK, it's so sad!!!

It comes down to personal opinion, so if you are willing, able and can afford to throw money away for a parade with 25 year old floats decorated in halloween motif, and tons of candy that can be bought at Walmart for a fraction of the admission price to MNSSHP.. then by all means. Make their day and pay for it.

If I appear "bitter" is because I have to haul my arse all the way to Japan to get my Disney dollars' worth in quality that is truly magical. Can't say that for WDW. Sorry.
But I recognize many of you are willing to pay for that lesser level of pixie dust, and that is perfectly Ok and reason why none of you should take my opinion on the subject on a personal level. But since those who enjoy this type of pay-for parties are the majority, the accountants running WDW now a days will continue to get the idea that they are indeed offering a "magical experience" for their guests, which is why the quality and substance slaughter will continue while the wallets will hemorrage more and more as time goes by.

Kevin Yee said it best: "declining by degrees".

We made their day in '07. We had gone to MMNSSHP earlier in the week, had a great time. On our last day the MK was closing early for another party and while we hit all the parks, we normally spend our last day in the MK. With our three kids the MK is great because at the time, except for Space, we could go on everything together.

Come Friday because of the early close time of the MK we were struggling on what to do. My wife and I decided, since it was our last night we’d spend the money on another round of MMNSSHP tickets. We didn’t do it at all for the Halloween offerings, we did it purely for the access to the rides and attractions without any wait times.

For us it was worth every penny. When I’m on vacation, time is precious whether I’m in WDW, or sitting on the beach down the shore. Did I make Disney’s day? Sure, but I made my day too. On vacation, I'm willing to pay for that.
