According to WESH, a woman is suing Disney for $15,000 claiming she was injured when her boat was hit by another while she was exiting the ride. TheDisneyBlog.com has a few comments from Jungle Cruise skippers on how believable they think the claim is.

Was a Jungle Skipper and I know that boats "can" bump. I don't believe I was ever involved in that but with stacking at unload it is theoretically possible.

It's also interesting that DL's boats were 'upgraded' this spring with safety 'enhancements' that mainly consisted of netting below the lowest rail behind the guests, to make it difficult for guests to stick their hands outside of the boat and get them squished between the boat and the dock (and make it difficult for young kids to see out of the boats), as well as a new mooring system to hold the boats in place better while they load and unload. What's interesting about this, to me, is that as far as I know, these upgrades haven't been installed in WDW, and they certainly wouldn't have made a difference in this case.
