The lines were out to the middle of the plaza when we got there at about 8:25 am, which worried me, but it must have just been a backup from before opening. Seems like we can never get there before the opening but I always have that as a goal. Seems like there were very light crowds for a weekend. Went to Pirates first (our first time since the changes) and as we walked up they were telling everyone that they were experiencing technical problems. Lots of people decided to leave so we were not inside but pretty far up in the line. It only took a little while for them to get it running and I think we were on our way in about 25 minutes. We enjoyed it very much, especially the new sound. When we got off we decided to go again and it couldn’t have been more than 15 minutes before we were riding again. Then we looked around in Pieces of Eights and my husband, who never buys anything for himself, found a T-shirt and hat that he liked. He also decided to get the Pirates CD so we could take advantage of our VISA discount. Actually we got fritters and coffee and went on HM before we went back to make our purchases. We had decided to do some of the less “exciting†things this trip since he had surgery a few weeks ago. So we went and saw the first show of Billy Hill and the Hillbillies. I have never seen them before and now see why everyone raves about them. We really enjoyed it. Then we went on the Mark Twain. Earlier we had been able to get reservations for 12:40 at the Orleans Café so then we went and tried the table service for the first time. I had the crab salad sandwich, which was good. Hubby had the Monte Cristo and now I also see why everyone raves about it, too. I stole several bites from him. We remembered to ask for our AP discount too, something I tend to forget about doing. Makes me so mad when I do. After lunch we went to check out the Baby Center. My daughter is trying to decide if we can do a day in December with her new daughter and not have a hotel room for baby to chill out in. Baby will be 10 months then. What a nice place. I can’t figure out how I did so many trips to DL for so many years and never went there. After getting fastpasses for Buzz, we then made our way to Innoventions. Another thing we have never gone into. Wow! If my son had only known that was there when we went on Mother’s Day! I won when we did Buzz, but just barely. I was thrilled to find the tips here at Laughing Place this morning and am really going to enjoy beating him bad next time. We then did some shopping on Main Street and then set off for CA. Why is the line always so long to get in there? We went and got fastpasses for Soaring and spent the hour we had to wait just resting. I noticed a nice breeze kicking up while we were waiting. That ride always makes me a little sick but I just love it. We had stayed up late the night before so we did some more shopping at Disney World and then caught the tram about 6:15pm to make our way home. A very nice leisurely day. When we got home I made reservations for the Park Place Inn for two nights next week when the kids will be gone again. We plan to really make use of those DAPs then. Thanks to everyone here for all the great information. I just love Laughing Place. Oh, by the way, I ended up not taking the computer to do my Ebay bidding. Just bid before we left and, of course, I was outbid. I think the only way to buy on Ebay is to be a “stealth†bidder!
