I know I've said the next one a few times on LP but here goes:

2.) Chris Isaak, Seattle, July 16, 2005. (Opening act was Brandi Carlile)
It was the day I met Candice. My life was falling apart and something about meeting a new friend, getting out of the house and having a great time changed my life. Part of it was immediate, part of it hit me gradually, but that concert symbolizes a lot.

I know this sounds kind of silly and/or immature, but seeing Brandi in concert is one of the most important things to me right now. Her music means so much to me. I love that she's from WA so I've been able to see her 4 times and will see her 2 more times in the next 5 weeks. Kind of funny that I will be seeing her on Dec. 16th-six months after the first show. (I'm a nerd about stuff like that.)

and Billy Joel WITH Elton John. Awesome.

Oh. and Melissa Etheridge when she was a nobody playing on the lawn in front of the student union at CSULB. Man, those were great times.

(love Elvis Costello but I nearly walked out of his live show in Portland last year. bad.)

Forty Licks was particularly stellar too. We had really good seats and Mick Jagger blew me a kiss!! Mick freaking Jagger!! ::faints::

    2. Randy Travis (6) - My all time fave singer. The sixth concert we had 2nd row center, on the aisle. Totally close, perfect, unobstructed view. Sooooo great!

    3. Jimmy Buffett (2) - Such a fun time! Love the parrothead culture and laid back style.

    4. Toby Keith - A patriotic, butt kickin' good time.

    5. The Monkess - Loved them since I was a kid and only got to see them a couple of years ago at DCA. Davy Jones in person!!!! Eeeeeeeeee!!! :)

    1. Keith Urban "Be Here" (2004) *THE* most entertaining concert I've ever been to. And we're going to see him again December 7th in Anaheim!!!!

    2. Brooks & Dunn Neon Circus & Wild Wild West Show - What an awesome interactive concert.

    3. Dixie Chicks - Nessa won tickets for their concert to record for their live DVD at the Kodak Theater in Hollywood. We wore fancy dresses and got to walk up those stairs and pretend we were famous celebrities

    4. Dixie Chicks - again, this time at home. We were in like the third row of the standing crowd.

    5. Blackhawk - My absolute favorite band. This concert was the original trio, a few years later Van Stephenson finally passed away to cancer.

    6. MontgomeryGentry - I got a kiss from Troy and then we got to hang out in the bar with the guys after the concert

    7. Dierks Bentley - Oh my freakin' goodness, what more can I say?!?!?!?

    8. Cyndi Lauper - She's Nessa's favorite singer. It was funny to listen to Cyndi complain to us about how hot it was in Bakersfield and that she didn't understand how we could live in the heat, as she continued to remove as much of her outfit as she could while mopping up her sweat.

    9. Aaron Tippin - I went to that concert hoping he would sing my absolute favorite song in the whole world. I ended up getting hit on by one of the band members, he did not sing my song, we got to sneak in for the second showing, he AGAIN did not sing my song, the bandmember asked me to lift up my top during the show, and we left early. (This should probably qualify as a "Worst Concert You've Ever Been To" but I liked the show itself, just not the other events)

    10. Keith Urban "Alive in '05" December 7, 2005 - This will actually be up higher on my list, but we haven't seen it yet. I just know it's goingot be as good as the first one we saw!!! (Can you tell I'm excited to see him?)
