From scattered tidbits .. this is what I found so far:

    DLR:
    Star Tours 2.0 official announcement

    DCA:
    artwork and model for Carsland

    WDW:
    Fantasyland additions/changes

Anyhow .. let this be the "official" topic line-up of all new attractions that have been announced through the expo.

    Thanks.

New Star Tours? Not so excited. Maybe they'll reveal something interesting about it soon, but so far I'm unimpressed.

Those rocks in Carsland are HUGE, aren't they?

OAN, I am beyond thrilled that no mention has been made so far about Captain Eo returning.

Any mention on DL's Tomorrowland rumored renovation for the future.

    Anything in development for EPCOT.

Anything in development for DCA's Makeover beyond 2012.

I'm sure something has been said on the return of Abe for late this year.

And I can bet NOTHING was said on the controversial Captain EO return.

For the record, I would be sad to see Casey Jr and Storybook Land go, but I wouldn't scream bloody murder over it. They're 10 out of 10 for sentimental, but as attractions, there just ain't that much to them. It's not like they're a major artistic achievement that shouldn't be violated.

There are (were) other attractions in that category, but I digress.

We don't do the meet-n-greet princess thing... They're nice adornments for the park and I appreciate that little girls enjoy it all, but that's it.

I'd rather share a biting exchange of wit with Cruella. :)

Well, no, but if Jay is telling the truth - that guests want more immersive experiences - then why not create environments for these characters in settings where they belong rather than sticking them in places like PP where they don't? I like Casey Jr and Storybook Land, but something tells me that the new Princess subdivision in WDW's Fantasyland is going to be a huge success.

Exactly, but then again, Casey and SBL aren't high on my list either. To be honest, I probably spend less time in Fantasyland and Toontown than any other part of the entire Resort when I visit.

What's currently in Fantasyland does appeal to a fairly broad range of people, whether they spend time there or not. I think that narrowing down that appeal would really affect who goes there. And since FL is the flagship land of DL, I think they really should keep the diversity there.

I certainly understand that people want more rides and less areas with nice photo ops, but if this is what people REALLY want, than I say give it to them as long as its done RIGHT!!! And from what I seen of the WDW plans, apparently it is. And remember, they are still getting a nice fat TLM E ticket as well. I wouldnt mind seeing this come to DL if they found a way.

But does this stuff really interest *me*? No, not really. But I'm a 35 year old black man from Compton, its safe to say very few things in FL REALLY interest me ;). I go to these areas simply because I remember them as a kid and its nice to ride a few of the rides, but this is the least interesting land for me as a guest. If I had kids or a little girl, then that might be different.

So adding these things wont exactly make it any worse or better. As long as the theming and landscaping is strong, I imagine I would go just to admire whats done like so much of the park even if the experience itself doesnt interest me all that much.

I'm not advocating the change as much as I'm wondering if such a development is inevitable given Disney's commitment to the Princess franchise. If the WDW FL expansion is a hit it stands to reason that something similar might be considered for Disney's other parks.

An expanded princess meet and greet (considering they already have one) is worth losing these two charming DL near-originals? I enjoy the details and the miniature work on SLCB and I'm freaking 49. A princess meet and greet holds no appeal, and for those for whom it does, they already have one.

That's true, however such an arrangement seems rather convoluted and hodgepodge with the Princesses disconnected from the main "fairytale" center of Fantasyland behind Sleeping Beauty Castle. The genius of the WDW design is how well the new section integrates with some of the existing FL infrastructure. At least it seems that way in this rendering:

    <a href="http://blogs.orlandosentinel.com/features_orlando/images/Disney/mk_fantasyland_overall_screen.jpg" target="_blank">http://blogs.orlandosentinel.c...reen.jpg</a>

Again, I'm not saying that Disney should do this in Anaheim, but it wouldn't surprise me if they did.
