List of DL tie-in movies

I suppose I could sit down and make a list, but I'm too lazy and I'm sure one exists somewhere.

For example: Fantasyland - Peter Pan, Snow White, Pinocchio, Dumbo, Mr Toad, Alice in Wonderland, The Sword in the Stone, Sleeping Beauty (the castle) . . .

For DCA, The Little Mermaid has the carousel, A Bug's Life has Flik's area, there's the Muppet movies for MuppetVision, Twilight Zone for TOT, and Monsters Inc for the ride as well. There are also lots of Pixar characters walking around in that area, but I can't think of any other permanent attractions tied to movies in DCA. I hope this helps you along the way.

I've never heard of Third Man on the Mountain being on DVD (or even VHS for that matter), so I would be fairly surprised if you could find it. Aladdin is also a good bet, since there is not only the show in DCA, but also the storytelling in Adventurland, and Agrabbah, the Cave of Wonders, and the rose arches in Storybookland. I never really noticed how many times that one movie showed up in DLR. I believe that they still have the Brother Bear stuff in the Redwood Creek area, as well.

The original request was for ANIMATED features that inspired theme park attractions. Most of these have been mentioned, although I am not sure I saw Sleeping Beauty Castle, Casey jr. Circus Train from Dumbo, or the dinosaurs in the Disneyland Railroad which were inspired by the Rite of Spring segment in Fantasia. Also to be found in Storybook Land is the Little Mermaid, as well as the short subjects the Three Little Pigs and Lullabye Land.

I'm skipping the tv tie-ins like Chip and Dale and Gadget's go-coaster. We probably wont watch that awful HM movie.

I haven't seen the Electrical parade since it was in DL and even then I can't remember a time that I wasn't just passing by it, so I'm not entirely sure what all that includes. I know it has a Pete's Dragon float, along with ones from several other films that have already been mentioned (Snow White, Alice, Pinnochio, Dumbo, Cinderella, Peter Pan).

Also, nothing from the Animation exhibit has been mentioned, but I assume there are several other films represented there. The main areas linked to specific films are the Sorcerer's Workshop (Fantasia, Ursula's Grotto (the Little Mermaid), and the Beast's Library (Beauty and the Beast). I know that the lobby area cycles through several more recent films, but I don't know which ones (all I saw was the Hunchback portion) or if they would be counted for this.

Glad to find an excuse to slip Beauty and the Beast in there. Woefully underrepresented, if you ask me.

I have to think there was something for Frontierland before Toy Story and HOTR. Pocahantas perhaps? I'm going to add Davy Crockett, even though it breaks my "no tv shows" rule.

Frontierland wasn't really based on any film in particular, although there were many western themed films/TV programs around at the time. Disney had Davy Crockett (of course), along with Zorro, Westward Ho the Wagons, and Swamp Fox, among others.

The Animation lobby in DCA is chock-a-block with films, including:
Lady and the Tramp
Toy Story
Atlantis
Hercules
Emperor's New Groove
Mulan
Pocohontas
Bug's Life
and so on.

Of course, this is all DCA. So if THAT park is included, we have all of Bug's Land for A Bug's Life (along with It's Tough to be a Bug!), Ariels' Grotto for the Little Mermaid, and those pesky Muppets in 3D. (I believe Monsters, Inc. is already in the mix.) Funny that a park that did NOT want attractions based on Disney characters has ended up with so many!

Next: Disney films represented in Fantasmic!

the whole home on the range theme has been pretty much wiped out, it is now just big thunder ranch.

Most of the characters that are on the boat that I remember are in the show in other places. Some additional ones inculde Mary Poppins and the chimmney sweeps, Aladdin, Jasmine, Genie, Cinderella and prince, Jane, Terk, (can't remember if Tarzan himself is there), Horace Horsecollar, Clarabelle Cow, Woody, and Buzz Lightyear. I can't think of any others off the top of my head, but I will go hunt for some pictures.
